Samik Sundar Das works in the field of Rural Development with focus on institutions, livelihoods, and enterprise development. He has worked with government line ministries, Civil Society Organizations and private foundations in areas of Community Driven Development, human resource development, community-based skilling and micro-business promotion for around two decades. His work experience pans across South Asia, Africa, South East Asia and Central Asia. He has contributed extensively towards the preparation and implementation of large scale rural development programs. His current passion is to rejuvenate the intrinsic entrepreneurial zeal of rural entrepreneurs and catalyze business ecosystem development for women led enterprises. Voluntarily, he has been mentoring small enterprises for creating localized jobs in the suburbs of New Delhi. Academically, he has obtained two Masters' related to Development Studies from India and USA. Currently, he is based in the Delhi office of the World Bank.
