A Master’s in Business Administration from London University, Neelam has been serving as ChildFund India’s Country Director and CEO for over four years; providing dynamic and strategic leadership.
Prior to joining ChildFund India, Neelam led a global organization based in the UK, the Resource Alliance. Neelam worked in the UK for 15 years with major organizations such as Help-Age and Oxfam GB.
Neelam is passionate about development and inspiring change for maximum impact. Within just couple of years, she revitalized ChildFund India’s core operations by strengthening the organization’s ability to fulfil its mandate to children throughout India. She has also spearheaded the organization’s collaborations with some of the most notable academia, corporates and development agencies in India. ChildFund India in association with National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has released a “Handbook for Ending Violence against Children”, which will be used by the key stakeholders as guideline for enforcement of laws and procedures to create a safe environment and end violence against children in India.
Neelam has been instrumental in extending ChildFund’s reach in India and strengthening its foundations for its long-term future development.
As a thought leader and expert communicator, over the years Neelam has carved a niche for herself by speaking at various forums, conferences and panels in over 30 countries. While in UK, she was also awarded the first Indian Woman Director for a global organization.
On 19th Sept., 2018, Neelam received “Pralhad P. Chhabria Memorial Global Award for outstanding contribution to Child Development” on behalf of ChildFund India from Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways and Coal at Priyadarshni Academy’s 34th Anniversary Global Awards Function held in Mumbai, India.
